Morning Weather Report

Well, this is what we woke up to this morning! In some places the snow is only 2 inches deep, other places it is over 3 feet. Check out the snow formations around Justin's car. On one side there is a surf wave on the other a replica of a mountain range! Strangely, the snow is clear around his car but there is a pile of snow surrounding it. Poor Jeff is stuck in North Platte. The hotels probably raised their prices once I-80 closed. He paid $70 for a single room for one night. Hopefully, the ice melts and the highway will reopen. We want to see Jeff!

Last night we lost power for about three hours. Amelia ran around with a headlamp on, thinking she had a light hat on. It was so cute. We pulled out our 72 hour kit candles and lamps then hunkered down under warm blankets. You forget how quiet a house can be when all power is cut off. I read a book, enjoying the silence.

Newsflash: Amelia learned how to open a door...all by herself. Eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeekkkk!!
