Happy Father's Day

Here we are on this Father's Day at home with sickies. Justin came down with a nasty head cold/sinus infection yesterday. Amelia ran a high fever all night. Phillip is cranky and cantankerous. Everett had intestinal distress between 3-7 am. I feel fine except for being tired, which is a usual symptom. Ironically, Justin was assigned to give a talk this morning. He went to church sick to deliver his talk. Amelia was so super sad she was not at church to sing to her Daddy. We will have a concert later. Everett is my first baby that does not spit up like a flowing fountain. Last night he kept spitting up and tooting for a few hours. Poor kid. We had some lunch at Mi Ranchito, so Everett must not like Mexican food. Huge bummer!

We had another band of heavy weather this week. It seems every day this week it rained, it poured, or the wind knocked us over. Thursday it flooded due to heavy rain and light hail. The flood waters came up our walk quite a ways. It actually went out to attend Book Club during the deluge. Not smart, but fun. The city closed the block around our home so I had to park a block or so away. Since I had my rain boots we the kids got theirs on and we went pond jumping. Phillip walked straight out into the street forgetting about the curb. He biffed it in less than 10 seconds, drenching himself quite thoroughly. Justin and I could hear the water sloshing around in his boots.

Everett gained another pound or so this week. He weighed in at a whopping 10 pounds yesterday! If he keeps gaining weight like he is the kid will be 20 pounds in less than 6 months. We are enjoying watching him grow some rolls on his legs to match his little double chin. I noticed his cry is changing as well. He doesn't sound like a goat boy as often.

We love our Justin! He is a great daddy, Amelia loves to give him great big hugs. Amelia loves that he goes to work and comes back home to make her Macaroni and Cheese at lunch and dinner. Phillip loves following Justin around helping him lose tools, mowing the lawn, and getting some rough and tumble play. I love that Justin works so hard to allow me to stay home with the kiddos. He is very industrious. I am so glad we were married 5.5 years ago! He got himself some fancy knives for Father's Day. Love it!!

Sorry for the sick kids and hubby! That is no fun!

Yay for "pond jumping"!

We are getting pounded with rain today! And I mean POUNDED!

Yay for gaining weight - hopefully he slows down or your biceps will be HUGE from carrying him around! What are you feeding him - straight cream!?!

Happy Father's Day Justin! Way to be an amazing, fun loving Dad and a great person by word and deed! Way to pull it together for a talk on Father's Day! Hope the rest of your day is GREAT!!!

So, is the dryer how you dry off after pond jumping? Cute!

Sorry everyone is sick. (Hope you don't get any of it.) We missed you guys at church. Justin did a great job with the talk and we could hardly tell he was sick.
