Yellowstone Park

*Mom made an amazing breakfast of bacon, eggs, and tabbouleh salad

*drove to Yellowstone. 

*toured the Grand Prismatic Spring. Amelia and Lia reported it was stinky. Phillip and Everett Sr enjoyed stomping in the river and throwing rocks. 

*lost Joe, Mom, and Grandma at Old Faithful. Everyone but them stopped for a picnic lunch first. They went to see Old Faithful first. Eventually located them with the spotty cell coverage

*kids had a blast playing in the forest, collecting sticks, riding on a fallen tree teeter totter, eating lunch, feeding the curious birds, and playing whatever games little kids imagine. Everett Jr was in dirt heaven crawling around on the ground. Jana provided sandwiches and desserts for lunch. 

*hiked over to see Old Faithful erupt

*visited the little museum

*James and Miekka stayed with Seth, Jacob, Amelia, and Lia to do the Young Scientist and Jr Ranger programs. 

*got a toy Bison and bear hat for Phillip at the gift shop. Amelia scored a fun hat too. Phillip carried that bison around for days stuffing it in his shirt, shoes, pockets, etc. He makes the funniest squeaks and snorts for his baby bison. What a crack up. 

*made salsa and Chipotle-style burritos for dinner.

*the guys worked on starting fires with John's bow drill, spindle, and fireboard. 

*stayed up late talking (best part of reunions)
