Amelia is 15

Oh what can I even say about this girl? She is not afraid to be herself, she is skilled at leading and making friends. Her best friends are Clare Palmer and Jocelyn Finch. At this moment in time Amelia has aspirations to become a music major and teach music. Her passion is singing, especially MCO choir and Columbia choir. Amelia is smart. She is an inspiration to those around her. She earned the Exceptional Student English award for her work in 9th grade. A couple weeks ago Sister Lynes said that Mia is her absolute favorite YW in our ward. We sure love our sweetheart oldest child.

She is looking forward to completing Driver's Ed, getting a job, starting jazz lessons, a new piano teacher, and three choirs this coming school year. I admire her voracious appetite for good literature...she gets it from me. Amelia learned some hard lessons this year with friends, relationships, and changing her view and attitude. She quite enjoys the role as oldest child, forgets she is a kid and acts like a mom.

Just to embarrass her and keep up the medical recording aspect of growing Amelia weighed in at 153.4 lbs (90.9%) and measured 5'2" (24.8%) tall. Her recovery from Perthes is quite a miracle. She still struggles with pain but muscles through, takes pain relief, and has stretches to improve her mobility.
